Masonboro Org. – Island Explorer Program Sponsor

Organized in 2009 with the initial goal of keeping Masonboro Island clean, stepping in to hand out free trash bags on the island on July 4th to minimize trash left behind on the island after the annual holiday celebration. In partnership with Waste Management, 1,000’s of pounds of trash have been cleaned from the island since then, and after years of working with the NHCO Sheriff and NC Costal Resources Commission, less and less trash is being left on the island. In 2013, the organization created the Masonboro Island Explorer Program (ILX) to provide all 5th grade students enrolled in NHCO public schools with the opportunity to explore and understand the diverse ecosystems of Masonboro Island and its surrounding waters, and to foster an interest in the ecology of the barrier islands. The long term goal of the program is to develop future stewards of the North Carolina coastal islands, and in doing so, cultivate a lifelong interest in STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). ACCESS of Wilmington’s 2nd Annual “Toss for a Cause” Corn Hole 2022 Sponsor

The ACCESS of Wilmington 2nd Annual Toss for a Cause Corn Hole Tournament benefited all ACCESS of Wilmington programs, operators of the Miracle League of Wilmington, Project SOAR, ACCESS Fit, Recreation Therapy, Accessible Adventures, and Play.

Accessible Coastal Carolina Events, Sports, and Services, Inc. – ACCESS of Wilmington – is a nonprofit organization that operates six different programs eliminating barriers to health and wellness through sports, recreation and fitness for those in our community with disabilities. ACCESS of Wilmington started in 2008 to raise funds to build The Miracle Field and Kiwanis Miracle Playground in Wilmington, North Carolina.
